1/27/2014: Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale... Nutty and roasty with a bit of hop flair in the finish; textbook Nut Brown that’s quite good; beautiful deep amber color. 12 fl. oz. bottle (5.13% ABV) from Brian. Thanks! Rating #216 for this beer.
Verrrrry chain brewpub like with this one... Aroma is stale caramel and nuts, as is the taste... Medium carb. Nothing complex or distinguishing about it. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 16, 2016
12 oz bottle. (Susan’s Fine Wine & Spirits) Santa Fe, NM.nazzty (1376) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAY 8, 2016
Dark mahogany color with a tiny off-white head.
Mild sweet brown sugary malty aroma.
The flavor is dry wood, peanut skins, brown sugar and sweet malt.
The kind of brown ale I don’t like.
Starts of well with a nutty aroma but the taste is unbalanced and the hops can’t really enhance the weak body. I had higher expectations. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2016
Longneck. Clean label. Aroma is at first a bit yeasty and sweaty from the bottle. From the glass, it’s malt, cereal and lagery. Light molasses and straw notes, alt-like, lightly sweet, lightly bittered. Medium body. Cherry pits and straw on the backend. Not going to set the world on fire, but very drinkable and sessionable. Amarillo, Tx - Party Stop Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium brown with a quickly fading light off-white head. Aroma is pleasant, slight nuttiness, a hint of chocolate. Flavor has some slight nutty accents, a touch of molasses, some brown sugar. Mouthfeel is thick enough.

Sampled at gabf. Clear amber. A nutty nose. Soft fruit. Those are tasted. Nice malts. A pretty good version. Earhy. Kavu (4815) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 15, 2015

Dark brown color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, & floral hops; Flavor of roasted malt, nuts, caramel, and hops; Finish is slightly bitter; Not too bad. ttoadee (1492) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2015
Chestnut pour, no head. Nose is medium kilned malt. Bittersweet. Middle is soft caramel and nutty grain. Finish is slightly sweet with hints of toffee. Very much in the British brown realm
