Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Bottle # 1168/3708. Pours a dark brown with a vague tint of red. Hard roasted malt and a whiff of smoke. Solid body, hard roasted malt, some dried dark fruits and licorice. Some underlying sweetness though. The finish is a little harsh and roughly bitter. 270310 MaltOMeal (1094) - Land of Sugar, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2010

Big tan head, fair retention and lacing. Black bodied brew. Rich chocolatey nose, roast, caramel and faint licorice. Med/full bodied, a tad chewy and silky at the same time. Lotsa chocolate and roast flavors, dark fruits with a hint of raisin, cocoa and caramel. Dry roasty finish, lasting. Fun brew! Thanks to eaglefan for sharing! User37895 (3042) - - MAR 5, 2010
Bottle 2273 / 3708, shared at SL, from theisti, though, perhaps? 2008 anniversary edition, a couple years old by the time I got to it. The pour was big black and with a choco-colored head. The aroma was Hershey milk chocolate syrup, faint roast, caramel, sweet candy. The flavor was initially Hershey syrup on the fore with some caramel and dark fruits, but the back end of this thing really cleaned things up on each sip: ashy roasty bitterness, perhaps some hops contributing in there too, coffee, molasses. Mouthfeel was oily slicky, moderate to big body. Thanks, Tim! bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - FEB 9, 2010
750 bottle thanks to Linda in the ABQ. Shared at the January RB tasting. Black with a tan head. Nose is oaky and whiskey. Sweet, malty, chocolately and alcoholic. Very big heavy body. Stoutish for sure and easy to drink. Very good beer.

10th October 2008. GABF. Nicely balanced. Chocolate, lightly toasted malt. No bitterness. Fresh tasting and slightly creamy. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 28, 2009
In the bottle at Phil and Bernie’s holiday stout tasting. Pours black with a thin dark beige head. Aroma of licorice and dates. The body is a bit thinner for an Imperial, but still quite substantial. I take lots of carob but not so much chocolate. The finish is oddly waxy. I like this beer. mreusch (851) - Olathe, Kansas, USA - NOV 13, 2009
750ml bottle, #3340/3708, with a big thanks to wavers1 for the great bonus! Pours a nice dark brown with ruby highlights and a large and lasting fluffy tan head. Aroma is a big dose of chocolate and ripe dark fruits, along with some caramel and dark roast coffee. Flavor is a bit sweet, with more chocolate, dark fruits, and caramel. A solid Impy Porter, thanks again Baker! drjay44 (3796) - Salida, Colorado, USA - OCT 9, 2009
sampler at the brewery. Pours a thin head, with a bit of lacing, over a clear black brown (SRM 35) body.......nose is roasted malts including, coffee, chocolate, a bit of dried fruit, including cherry and raisin.....taste is initially rich sweet, roasted malts with coffee and chocolate, ending in mild bitterness....mouth feel is thick, rich heavy and sticky, carbonation low but adds creaminess. This is rich, thick, heavy and balanced sweetness. A nicely done Imperial.
