3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at a bar in downtown Santa Fe. Really a great porter. Ordered up a second one, and then a third, which is really rare for me for porters. Usually I’ll have one, then move on to something else. But these were going down so good I stuck with it and had a great session.
12 oz. can Pours black color with a white tan head, some lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, artificial chocolate, and ash. Flavor is sweet with caramel, artificial chocolate and a very thin body. Tastes like chocolate extract was overused. Nope. rougeau13 (3227) - Richmond, Texas, USA - SEP 15, 2017
Can. Dark brown with a khaki head. Heavy lacing. Aroma of cocoa, milk chocolate, roast and nuts. Tastes lightly bitter and a little sweet. Medium bodied. hauxe (960) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 27, 2017
Pours dark brown from the bottle and leaves a frothy, beige head. Aroma is strongly of coffee, accompanied by smokey, earthy notes. Taste is bittersweet with a very mild sour twist at the end. Overall covers a wide spectrum of flavor, and does so with a rich, smooth body that keeps the alcohol well hidden. Good stuff. wombat23 (1829) - Texas, USA - JUL 26, 2017
12 oz. can. Pours almost black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, chocolate and coffee notes. Taste is roasted malt at the forefront, with chocolate and coffee in the background. Some nuttiness also. Mildly sweet finish. hockey9930 (313) - - MAY 2, 2017

Dark brown pour. Aroma is cocoa and coffee. Smooth bodied, medium mouthfeel. Solid offering. Andrew196 (2014) - Katy, Texas, USA - JAN 26, 2017
A good looking beer - pours black with a well contrasted white head. Aroma is nutty, coffee, molasses. A bit too thin and boring on the tongue.... More roasted malts, coffee, a little cocoa, not bad but a bit too much like the best beer at a bad brew pub. john44 (3412) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2017

Pours almost black with a chunky tan head.
Chocolate, coffee, vanilla aroma.
Taste is rich, dark chocolate malt, overcooked coffee, cream.
A really solid, sweet porter that finishes with a nice roasty bittering.
Bottle. This is a well balanced porter with some deep roasted malt notes and a bit of sweetness.
