Thanks to thirdeye11 and travita for sharing this bottle. This was sampled alongside Wild Ales No. 3 and No. 4.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is lemons with some tartness and burnt popcorn notes. The flavor is sour lemons with some nice oak character. I also get some sour apples notes. This beer is very sour, though not quite as acidic as the Wild Ale. 4 from Santa Fe. Still I think this one was a little bit better since I got more flavors in addition to the sourness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Bomber at DC local tasting. Cloudy orange color. Aroma of sour peach. Taste is lip-smackingly sour and acidic. Wow! Top 3 of the session. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2010
(750ml bottle thanks to travita’s help on these) cloudy orange pour with lasting off-white bubbles. Nose is tart, wet wood, some funk and wood char, and tangerine. Taste of tart cherry, pipe tobacco, creamy, tangerine, blood orange, apple cider vinegar, an exceptionally well balanced sourness. Smooth creamy finish. This beer is mildly acidic. This is how I like sours! daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 18, 2011

(750ml bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11 and travita). Pours a hazy amber with white fizzy head. Aroma is very tart, brett, lots of horse blanket. Flavor is very much the same as well as very acidic, hard to pick out the fruit though. Mouth feel is light-medium body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, a very exciting brew....I have a simple description but this is a must try!!!! Great stuff! hopscotch (11051) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 5, 2010
Bottle… Tower of Power Sour Hour Deel Twee… This beer rocks!… Mostly clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet consists of funky cheese, grilled sirloin tips and the fresh rubber soles on a recently purchased pair of sneakers. Medium to full-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is intensely sour and fruity – tropical mélange and a blend of peach and apricot. There is tasty malt sweetness, but it is so very out-trumped by the beer’s intense acidity. Even at room temperature, the outstanding flavor is as sour as all get-out with only a touch of malt sweetness. Finishes sour and lightly sweet. Big-time kudos to Dstructo for sharing this world class wild ale! dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2011
Thanks to Dstructo for sharing this one. Sour funk aroma with a stingy vinegar flavor. Crazy good. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 1, 2010
(750ml bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11 and travita) Pours a hazy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of grapes, horseblanket, barnyard, apple skin, herbs, and mustiness. Mouthwatering, puckering acidic flavor with berries, vinegar, and lemon with a dry finish. Sour is an understatement and I love it! kbutler1 (1381) - North Carolina, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a coastered white. Decent head retention. Some fruit in the nose, sweet, and nail polish acidic. Soft sweet start followed by a sour fruit flavor. Not as sour as the SF Wild #4 but probably more balanced. Light mouthfeel with carbonation. Winelike and dry. Overall, this is pretty tasty and decenly balanced.
