Poured into a pint glass. A thin white head formed and was quickly gone. Amber to bourbon colored and transparent.
Honey and wet malt smell.
Malty, not too sweet though. Bitter ending that grabs the tongue nicely. Simple, nice flavors.
Crisp and clean. Moderate carbonation and light body.
Good, easy to drink and solid tasting.
Great beer for those craving an amber. Hard to find in pubs and restaurants, but when it's there the wife and I immediately order it. Was pleasantly surprised to find it at the Texas Roadhouse the other day. mcberko (19809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2016
On tap at SanTan, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and light hop resins. Flavour brings out lots of toasted caramely bready malt and hop resins. Nice balance and quite robust. Solid. ryrpat (403) - Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2016
Very smooth Amber. Easy to drink with a nice malty flavor that isn't overpowering. Another great effort by santan

Pours an amber color with a sugar and caramel malt aroma. Taste is similar, with a sweet toffee flavor that leaves a minimal bitterness after the swallow. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Tap. Pours clear reddish Amber, medium creamy beige head, nice residual and lacing. Aroma is light bread, caramel, hints of copper. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, malty, caramel, bread, light metal. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Not much hop presence here. BeerandBlues2 (14018) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 5, 2015
Tap at Grand Canyon Brewing. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy off-white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is toast malt, apple esters and pine hops. Flavor is medium earthy and pine hops and bitterness with toast malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. valpoaj (755) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - JAN 4, 2015
Tap pour - translucent medium brown body with a thick whitish head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, roastiness...not much otherwise. Flavor is heavy on the roasted caramelized malts, very sweet, and very one-dimensional. Palate is medium carbonation. Not much to write on this one...quite boring, even for the style... On tap: The aroma is lightly fruity with a touch of caramel and faint nuts. It’s a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with light-moderate fruit and a touch of caramel. The finish has light toasty notes and a touch of roasted nuts. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Pours a clear dark amber color with off-white head. Caramel malts and roasted malts on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little malt.
