COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brewers have re-defined this traditional English Ale with an intense bitterness derived from the distinct citrus/pine character of Pacific Northwest hops. A dry, crisp malt character and aggressive alcohol make our I.P.A. a Hop-Heads Passion. 16.5

Can. Clear amber color with ivory head. Nice spicy, floral, citrusy hop aromas. Medium body with average co2. Mildly bitter flavors of spicy, floral hops with a lightly sweet pale malt base brew____lightly drying finish----not bad.

12 oz can from my Secret Santa. Thanks man! Pours a hazed orangish amber with a medium eggshell colored head. Decent head retention, lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, some tea like sweetness. Flavor is fairly bitter with sweet malt notes. Above average carbonation, medium body. Finishes bitter.

On tap: The aroma consists of grapefruit, citrus, fruit, and caramel. Its a transparent amber with a one finger off-white head that eventually settles to a thin film. There is a good dose of thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel and fruit. The finish has some light-moderate citrus and grapefruit. Its medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, too much caramel for my IPA preferences.

Can. Pours a deep, vivid dark amber with a high, large-grained, lacy beige head. Nose is ruby red grapefruit, bay leaf, Emmenthaler cheese, and lavender. Dry, biscuity, and astringent up front, with an assertive bitterness; on the mid-palate, it shifts into a clean herbal note with just a touch of citrus sweetness. Definitely on the drier end of the IPA spectrum. Finish is long and spritzy, and quite refreshing. Good.
