12oz can, thanks to mikedR. My can is labeled as 6.9% ABV. Dark but clear-still brown color. Good thin lighter brown head, of a thicker but bubbly quality. Leaves good, thick lace. Good chocolate malt nose. Medium to bigger body. Dry texture. Moderate carbonation, but decent chewiness to the body. Noticable earthy hop. Mostly bitter taste, little sweet. Fine chocolate porter overall. I’d like a little more creaminess in the body, less hop, and more chocolate though

Shared 12 oz. can. Dark brown, light beige head. Aroma of dark malts. Taste is dark malts, roast, dark chocolate notes, nutty. Thin, lacks flavor.

Aroma: oddly sour; not pleasant; Appearance: very dark amber with thin white head that dissipates quickly; Taste: follows nose, unfortunately; Palate: heavy body with long, sour finish; Overall: Not good; will not get again.

Canned from Total Wine & More, Plano North, Texas. Near black, mid sized creamy head. Chocolate and caramel up front. Sweet with medium-full body and creamy, rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate donuts with coffee and syrup. Mid bitter finish. Very solid

Can. Pours deep brown with a thin beige head. Light chocolate and sweet malts, a little roast, moderate molasses-like sweetness, and some chocolate in the finish. Pretty good.

12oz can - pours a peaty brown, almost black with a thin beige head. Not a big aroma but there is cocoa, mocha and some roastiness. A medium body delivers flavors of chocolate, roasty malt, a hint of coffee and cake. Ok

Can at Brewers Ball Dallas. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast, dark chocolate, molasses. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, bitter finish, good.

12-oz. can with an Oct. 2015 canning date on th bottom. Poured a dark mahogany color with a moderate-large tan, frothy head. Above average lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention. Aroma: toffee, chocolate, warm caramel, and dark fruit bread. Flavor: chocolate, roasty malts, roasted nuts, some dark fruits. A hint of coffee in the aftertaste. More toffee than expected for style but more chocolate flavors and excellent sweet/bitter balance.. Feel: Medium+ body. Creamy texture. Lively, medium carbonation. Overall: tasty and well worth seeking out, although not up with Youngs Double Chocolate and some others.
