Pours a clear golden with a small/thin white head that still leaves nice lacing. Nose is a good mix of white wine and black pepper. Taste also gets you some of that classic saison pepper with a cool fruitiness and oak. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. A very good barrel-aged saison that I would certainly come back to.

bottle shared by tom10101, many thanks mate! pours almost clear bright gold with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. tons white grapes, candied ginger, white pepper, hint of sweetness - floral honey; citrusy hops, chalk, salt, minerals. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; relatively dry and tart citrusy finish. a rather juicy wild peppercorn tart ale - good stuff.

Bottle (750 ml), shared at tasting. Hazy golden with a small white head, moderate retention, leaving some lacing. Aroma is lemony with brettanomyces, some funk, herbal notes and mild cereal spiciness. Taste is lemony with brettanomyces, funky notes, oak spiciness, light herbalness and cereals notes. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Lemony finish. Not a stellar one, but a good brett forward belgian sour saison-ish brew.
