Beaverfest Day 1. Keg. Light haze on this red beer, small pink head. Light dry palate, finely crisp. Tangy cherry and a lemon that is not quite acid. Crisp dry finish. Dry but okay.
A: Pours a dark red color with a thin white head. Leaves some lacing.
N: Grapefruit, lots of oak, lemon zest, cracker, soap bubbles, and some funk. Lots of balsamic vinegar running through this one; orange zest, raspberry, and cherry, too.
T: There is a ton of grapefruit juice to go along with the oak. Quite tart here.
M: Light body, very sharp carbonation, no alcohol.
O: Decent. It's super sharp and could use some taming, though. douglas88 (9789) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2017
