On tap @ Caps & Taps. Black in color with a dense tan head. Pretty solid stout here. Plenty of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Has some mild sweetness, but there is definitely a bit of bitter roast and a touch of ash. Actually decently hoppy, sort of earthy and leafy. Has some baker’s chocolate on the finish. Pretty good body, particularly for a lower gravity beer. Nice. Marheb (6193) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 27, 2017
(En fût à la source): Vigoureusement rôti, chocolat noir, noix de coco et assez délicieux malgré la buvabilité handicapée par les sucres. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2016
Draught at Sante Adairius, Capitola, California. Opaque black beer with a nice lasting beige head. Malty caramel aroma, licorice, chocolate, soot, some vanilla. Chocolate flavor, caramel, licorice, vanilla notes, fruity, some cream. Quite nice but on the sweet side. Reynolds314 (3477) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 17, 2015

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. The aroma is nice and bready with some chocolate and rye bread crust. The flavor is roasted and light bodied with some smoke. A little on the watery side and very dry. Good dense bread crust and cocoa notes though. A good one. williamstome (1989) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 29, 2015

Pitch black thing but fine foam. Very creamy feel. Light bits of anise touch of mint. Welcome oxidized bookish drinkable flavors. Light tang.
