750 ml bottle to snifter (B6; shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a cloudy golden orange with thin white head that dissipates into very thin lacing fairly quickly. Smells of brett, oak, and citrus alongside a mild pinot presence. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, mildly to moderately tart, and semi-dry. Tasty and sessionable.

Sample from Batch #3 at Kurtkeller 027: Sante Adairius-tastic 01 on 07/30/2017. Cloudy yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of funky citrus, oak, spice and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart citrus, yeast, vinous oak, spice and doughy malt. The finish is funky and fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

FlacoAlto (4220) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 25, 2017
A steady pour produces a wispy, fairly quickly dissipating, off-white head. The beer is pale golden color that shows some haze to it when held up to the light. The aroma smells of tart fermentation notes, lemon zest, hints of spicy barrel wood, and sunbaked hay, and pale grain aromatics; the latter two becoming more prominent over time.

The flavor is lightly tart, with a lemon flavor, and lemon like acidity even (though it is soft). Oaken woody flavors lightly influence the flavor and linger in the long finish. There is a soft, pale nutty note here somehow, a bit of dried grass, and sunbaked hay, as well as a soft, grain and cracker like note. The carbonation is quite subtle, with just a hint of prickliness, the body has a soft viscosity to it that lightly clings to the palate during a sip, but finishes clean and light.

This is not a bad beer, it certainly requires a more zippy carbonation, but is fairly well balanced and tasty. Having said that, I was hoping for a bit more from my first beer from this brewery, but that won’t keep me from enjoying this bottle tonight. The promise of the aroma has the flavor being a bit of a letdown, but only just.

750, capped. Thanks, S! Pours a hazy pale amber with a light fizzy white head. Bright tangy tart nose, showing fruit and wood and a hint of jammy berry. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Light berry, some lemon, some tangy citrus, and lightly sweetened cereal on the palate. Soft and balanced and beautiful. Long tangy finish that goes dry.
