Oh SARA, as much as Ive ticked embarrassingly few of your beers, youre a great brewery, the ticks that got away, the girl I wish I would have spent more time with. In fact, my feelings for you are so deep that I wrote this song for you: "Ill never find another girl like you/For happy endings, it takes two/Were fire and ice, a dream wont come true/SARA, SARA/Beers are brewin in your eyes/SARA, SARA/No time is a good time for goodbyes". This is on the first album for my new band, Washington Spaceship #happyendingsftw. Such is the lonely life of an itinerant wayward ticker, living life two ounces at a time, going through beers like a filthy, diseased Craigslist hooker goes through Grindr dates. My disease is Lyme disease (from the ticks if that wasnt obvious). Welp, this is another one. Pours hazy orange with a one-finger white head. The aroma is bretty, herbal, citrusy, some funk. The flavor is dry and crisp, bright, mildly tart. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. A good one.

Ratebeer Best bottle share. Pours murky blonde with no head and a strange fruity aroma. There is a sourish pale malt flavor with a bitter rye finish that goes down easy.

From notes. Enjoyed at a bottle share at Seans on December 29. 750 mL bottle. The pour is a foggy golden yellow color with a thick white head that slowly recedes, leaving some damn fine lacing behind. The aroma is funky, grassy, lemony, and a little spicy all in one. This is definitely more of a traditional saison, but I dont care for the spiciness. I like the grassy funk and the strong yeast, but the spice isnt doing it for me. The flavor is a little better. The spice falls off a little more, letting the funk, grassiness, and citric tendency pop through. A light spicy rye becomes present, and I like that. There is a floralness on the finish that could be done without. The mouth feel is a little soapy with a nice carbonation and a lingeringly spicy funk and hint of lemon tartness. This is a decent beer for sure.
