Bottle pour at the RateBeer Best 2017 Grand Tasting/Bottle Share. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of tart lemons. Tastes of tart lemons, tart acidic notes. Light body with a dry finish.

Ratebeer Best bottle share. Pours murky blonde with no head and a strange fruity aroma. There is a sourish pale malt flavor with a bitter rye finish that goes down easy.

From notes. Enjoyed at a bottle share at Seans on December 29. 750 mL bottle. The pour is a foggy golden yellow color with a thick white head that slowly recedes, leaving some damn fine lacing behind. The aroma is funky, grassy, lemony, and a little spicy all in one. This is definitely more of a traditional saison, but I dont care for the spiciness. I like the grassy funk and the strong yeast, but the spice isnt doing it for me. The flavor is a little better. The spice falls off a little more, letting the funk, grassiness, and citric tendency pop through. A light spicy rye becomes present, and I like that. There is a floralness on the finish that could be done without. The mouth feel is a little soapy with a nice carbonation and a lingeringly spicy funk and hint of lemon tartness. This is a decent beer for sure.

Bottle care of Michael, shared with some friends on NYE. Pours a hazy golden color with smaller head. Notes are pure concord grape skin, minerals, wheat, vitamins, petrichor, rock salt, and other funky inner spree candy type notes. Medium in body. Totally insane beer, Im guessing this wasnt ready when everyone tried this on draft at FOFA months ago. Seek this one out! Reminds me of TH French Policeman grape emptiness. Classic Cali mineral juice from SARA.

Sample at fofa. Hazy gold pour with white head. Aroma is pungent, quite hoppy, mild funk, zesty notes, floral. Taste is bitter, grassy with chamomile/honey notes, light peppery flavors. Palate is med bodied, good carbonation, a bit heavy.

At FoFA. Hazy yellow-golden with a small white head, good retention, leaving good lacing. Aroma is floral with a rather strong lemon zest presence, peppery notes and mild perfume notes and spiciness from the rye. Taste has a fun wheaty presence and light tartness that combines well with the lemon zest notes but the rye floral and perfume presence make it a bit heavier. Some peppery notes as well and some bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Spicy finish. Its a well-executed beer but too spicy (from the rye) for my liking.

A soft gold with a fizzy white head. Soft sweet tart candy aroma. The taste is a bit lactic, acidic, lemon, yoghurt. Soft round carbonation. Good but not as good as many other things at FoFa.
