(En fût à la source): Une saison sous l’emprise des esters. Poivré, minéral, gazonnée et légèrement sulfureux vers une sécheresse abrupte mais nécéssaire.

Draught at Sante Adairius, Capitola, California. Clear pale golden beer with a small offwhite head. Fruity Rye bread aroma, tart, citrus notes, slightly floral. Hoppy yeasty flavor, spicy, herbal, perfume notes, pine, some tart botes. Not your average saison, but i really like it.

64 oz. growler. Originally reviewed 3/2/2015. Pale yellow orange body. Small white head. Pretty clear. Very thin collar. Weird grain aroma. Wheat is strong. Not sure how to describe the rest of it, but it has a bit of a fruity aroma. Kinda like a strong lager. Tastes more like a saison, but still has a very strong grain flavor. Wheat is almost overpowering. Fruity and a little sweet behind it. Very light. Medium low carbonation. I don’t love it. It’s decent, but the grain flavors are weird.

The Little Quibble I had at the brewery was on cask with Anton Lutz’s Huell Melon hops from Germany and bitter melon (foo gwa). Easily the best cask beer I’ve ever had...using bitter melon for non-IBU bittering is nothing short of a genius move. I think brewer Jason Hansen concocted this zymological confection.

Goat pee specimen yellow. Nose is so funky, dank basement after a flood, old sponge - sour bath towel. Flavor is light, musty, green grapes, light candy malt - cotton candy? "Looks, tasted artificial" - CC ---Rated via Beer Buddy App

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery. This is an outstanding saison, it poured yellow with a good half inch head that it held for a while. Thin mouthfeel, medium sweetness. This is a very fruity saison, it has a big mango note and taste to it. this drinks like a thinner bodied fantome saison. very impressive.

On draught at Gourmet Haus. Moderate high amounts of spice and rustic malt. Smooth mouthfeel.

draft at brewery, a very nice light saison, extremely easy drinker. Great for outside. Delightful.

Rea;;y nice low abv saison. Bright and rustic, grainy flavor and aroma and each shines through. Ever so slight farmhouse character.

1L swing top go snifter (shared with Ben, Sarah, and the Mrs; thanks bytemesis). Looks good; a transparent gold with white head and lively carbonation. Smells semi-sweet and yeasty, but well-balanced. Tastes like it smells with a touch of honey and clove-like spice on the back end. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. A good saison.
