750 mL bottle. Black body with a khaki head. Smells roasty with some chocolate. Acidic. Rum and oak. Dark fruits, too. Tastes of dark fruits, cherry sourness. Oak and astringency. Some chocolate and roast. Maybe some rum? Medium body. Well carbonated. Pretty good. JBPortland (1542) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - JUL 1, 2016
750ml bottle pours dark brown black with 3 finger foamy tan head. Nose is dark fruit, cherry, spice, chocolate, cola, roast. Taste is an interesting blend of tart dark fruity spice, cherry coke, dr pepper, berry up front, and then transitions to a finish of lightly sweet chocolate with subtle roast and dry toasty oak and dusty cocoa. 750mL at Woodshop 10. Clear cola pour with good carbonation. Cinnamon and cabernet vinous aroma. Flavor is sour stout, a difficult style to pull off, with cocoa and lemon clash. But the acid is restrained and the body isn’t totally drained and too dry. There is still enough chocolate character for balance and some spicy oak and alcohol warmth. Great example of this substyle. djd07 (14354) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 19, 2015
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is roasted, spice, rum. Medium mouth, light tartness, roast, cherry, sweet, nice barrel, very good. PhillyCraft (7074) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 15, 2014
Bottle shared with Mark and Al. Pours black with beige head. Medium to heavy carbonation on a medium body. Notes are dark cherry, tobacco, wood, acidic funk, and Brett. not enough rum in this one. Also, it was more of a sour than a stout. Weird.

Forgetfu Tasting at ChrisOs. Opaque black - brown beer, good fluffy pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Light fine carbonation. Light roast malt, touch of dark chocolate. Medium tangy souness with mild dark fruits. Light semi dry finish. Tasty enough but yet to taste a great sour stout.
Bottle thanks to Bruce! It pours near black with a thick tan head. The nose is roasted malt, toast, creaminess, milky, mild acidity, cocoa and some jammy fruits. The taste is crisp, tart, toasty, roasted malt, cocoa, earth, some acidity, sherbet and granny smith apple with a tart, somewhat acidic finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. I am not sold on the sour stout style, but this is pretty tasty anyhow. Leighton (21075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2014
Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. Some acetic berries in the nose, hints of wood, earth. Light to medium sweet flavor with loads of berry tang, grapes, mild earthy bitterness, burnt wood, faint cocoa. Medium to full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Warming finish with decent acetic tang, more berries, vague roast and cocoa, low bitterness, wood. Not bad. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some rum notes as well as some some tart cherry character. The flavor is similar. The cherry notes are complemented by some dark grape notes. I also get some roasted malt, chocolate, rum, spice and light tartness. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
