750 mL bottle poured. A massive thanks to Mike for sending me this one. What a treat! An amazing saison this is, covering everything I love about the style right here. Hazy and bright golden orange pour. A good balance of tart, funk, and fruity nose. Flavor is a cool and fresh orange and citrus, with a solid brett funk to compliment. A solid pils grain background. Creamy. Juicy. An absolute standout of a saison here. Love it.

September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'Sante Adairius Saison Bernice'. Golden orange, hazy, still, foamy white head leaves full lacing. Aroma is crackers, mixed fruits, touch of thin vinaigrette. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is peachy, soft cracker-like malts, sugary, straw with a slight tartness. Very nice. 750 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a cloudy golden orange with eggshell head and lively carbonation. Smells and tastes of yeast, oak, fruit, and funk with a pleasantly tart medium-bodied mouthfeel that finishes semi-dry. Tasty.

(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Blue Session, Copenhagen) Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a white head. Aroma is really crisp, mineral, grassy, wet stone, not excessively grainy but still has a complex pale crackery malt character, pale pit fruit. Flavour echoes those notes, very dry and mineral, nice dried grassy hops, crackery malt, delicately fruity, well-developed yeast character and subtle funky/tart quality. Smooth light-medium mouthfeel and effervescent carbonation. My notes don't really do justice to what is one of the best-crafted saisons I've had, I really need to have the opportunity to sit down with a bottle of it sometime.

Dogbrick (13764) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2017
Sample at Kurtkeller 027: Sante Adairius-tastic 01 on 07/30/2017. Cloudy bright yellow-orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of frunky fruit, yeast, oak and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of brett yeast, oak, citrus and floral hops. The finish is funky and fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Good beer all around.
