UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 Bottle from Carl (spacecoyote) -- cheers! Opened as part of a larger tasting not expecting anything in particular, but this one floored me. It’s close to the perfect saison in my opinion -- there’s a sour touch that’s noticeable but not overpowering, a great yeast character that is peppery but subtle, and a fantastic water profile that blends the yeast, malt, and hops together beautifully. It’s not only one of the best saisons I’ve ever had, it’s easily one of the best beers I’ve ever had.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold on the lighter end of the spectrum and a small white head that settles into a bubbly rign and faint film that leaves spots of lace in the glass. Notes of lemon, white wine, oak, berady malts, straw, pears, and some light, bright bretty funk. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a tart, floral, lightly funky mouthfeel. Great saison. Excellent stuff for any time.
