A deep dark imperial porter with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, beautiful sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, loads of vanilla, coffee crisp, very nice. In mouth, beautiful sweet fruity chocolate malt with light resinous herbaceous hops, light mineral notes, light coffee notes with vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery.

First 10% beer?! Well...it's damn fine! Luscious feel. Complex rich flavors and nose, complex like the oatmeal stout but with vanilla and dark fruit notes as well, and bigger of course. Well done!

On tap, pours a beautiful black color with light brown head and plenty of lace. Smell and flavor are luxurious coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, English earthy malt, brown sugar, and other goodness. Medium bodied. Booze and stickiness nearly non existent. Hail Sara

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep coffee brown with a tan frothy head. Aroma is roasty above all, with singed grains and notes of espresso. Flavor on the other hand is a deep chocolatey experience, milky and velvety up front and then slowly incorporating toasted bread and latte notes. Modest, fine carbonation for a moussey mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is malt forward with one roast and dark chocolate. Hints of ash and smoke with faint dark fruit notes and a bit of alcohol spice. Pours black with a small, thick, light mocha head that recedes steadily to the edges where a thin film lingers. Light lacing and moderate length legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with a fairly strong chocolate forward malt note. Some light roast notes with hints of toasted bread and toffee. Hints of alcohol spice with medium bitterness. Lingering chocolate notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with some silky, creamy notes and medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice imperial porter. Great malt notes and the residual sugars add some really nice, complex flavors. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice job SARA!
