Can in Dougo, Ehime. Golden pour with some cloudiness. Honey, spice, and fruit. But not a lot of aroma nor flavor. Not bad but lacks character.
Bottle from Takamatsu. Hazy light amber, small whit head. Aroma has grassy hops and some fruit. Light body with some biscuit flavours. Westkyoto77 (635) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 9, 2013
Can from JR Takamatsu station. This was much better than I remembered. Fruity, yeasty aromas quite enticing. Not too heavily carbonated, and subtle banana and grapefruit flavours were crisp and balanced. Would have it again. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 20, 2013
Can. Golden coloured, slightly cloudy. White head. Aroma is grainy and lightly fruity, grassy hops. Taste is similar, bit of citrus, wheaty, not really the creaminess I would expect in a Kolsch. It’s perfectly drinkable, but not so exciting. KyotoLefty (10254) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 12, 2009
Rich golden color, cloudy, with a tall head. Dry, slightly fruity aroma, with a bit of honey and spices. Sweetness also comes through. Lemon-butter flavor with creal grains. Dryish fruits. Got fruiter and fuller as it opened up. Slightly hoppy finish. Ok but undirected. A typically drinkable but mediocre Japanese golden ale posing as a koelsch.
