Descent beer. Really good with sushi. It’s pretty light, not heavy on the stomach. Winter beer.

As far as pale lagers go, this one isn’t bad. Light and very mild. Evenly balanced with hints of sweetness. Tried for the first time in 2007.

Butelka 0,33 l. Wypita przy okazji kolacji w restauracji azjatyckiej. Piwo jest bardzo wodniste i nijakie. Dokładnie do popicia po jedzeniu.

Aus der Dose als „Sapporo Premium“. Hellgelb und klar. Luftiger Schaum. Etwas muffig-holziger Duft. Antrunk Holz und Malz. Abgang herb-metallisch.

On tap at Japanese restaurant, Imadake, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Pours bright, clear yellow with a generous white puffy head and some lacing. Aroma: honey water, floral. Flavor: white sugar, white rice, white bread. Mouthfeel: light-bodied, clean drinking. If it weren't for the fact that this was the only beer on tap, I wouldn't have ordered it. At least the food was good at the restaurant -- as was the reason I was in the city, to see a Roger Waters concert. This is on par with Budweiser -- a flavorless pale lager.

On tap at ELRC, London. Sweet malt, bread, grass, earthy flavours. Thin bodied. High carbonation. Mild bitterness. This is just an average macro lager, with very little flavour.

Light lager; dry but refreshing. Had in a glass bottle in a sushi restaurant (Sushi Life, Wellfield Rd, Cardiff - highly recommended) which was great, especially with the food. However, I've had one of those big pint-glass shaped cans from Tesco and that tasted like death.

Can whilst staying in Asahikawa. Very pale gold, crystal clear, fizzed out head. Sugary malt and starch nose. Ok sweet malt flavour, nice light fruity hopping. Goes down better than the nose would lead me to think. Medium gentle fizz, nice transition to pleasant bitterness in the back half. Very light and clean. Worth a shot when in Hokkaido, probably goes well with Genghis Khan.

This is my go-to beer when having Japanese food. It seems to enhance the flavor of whatever food I order.

Big white head doesn’t last. Clear yellow body. Faint grainy aroma. Sweet grainy taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, faintly mealy mouthfeel. Sweetish grainy strawy aftertaste with fruity notes. Not at all bad. As industrial, straightforward lagers go, this is about as good as it gets. (0.5l can, from Lawson, Kanazawa.)
