Got to love the large bottle size but not much other than that. Pairs well with the poo poo platter if you know what I mean.

Not interested in clocking up ticks, promised myself I’d only rate the really good ones. However, since they’re so widely available in Taipei, and since I actually worked in Japan for five years, I’ll rate this one just for fun. A small can from Jason’s in Guting, rated back-to-back with Sapporo Yebisu. Aroma: weak, yeasty. Appearance: clear light amber, pours a good head, settling to 2-3mm. of dull foam. Palate: light-bodied, thin texture, flat carbonation, nothing going on. Taste: lightly bitter, but only just. Predictable, fun on the beach, or with yakitori. Merry Christmas!

In Europa gebraute Version getrunken. Deshalb braucht man nicht nach Japan zu reisen.

Aggiebob (1134) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - DEC 7, 2016
Draft. It poured a clear gold with a thin white head and lacing. Poured very cold. Malty aroma and taste.

ghostbeer (215) - Nebraska, USA - DEC 7, 2016
Not good. Fairly bitter with stale malty backbone. This was much worse than I expected.

bobroman (1169) - Torun, POLAND - DEC 4, 2016
Not very intensive but pleasant aroma of malts, rice and some hops. Head disappearing to thin layer with some lacing. Clear golden colour. Light but noticeable bitterness with rice sweetness in taste. Way above my expectations.

Bottle. Goloden color. Aroma: malt, rice, a bit fruity. Taste: clean, malt, apple seed, a little fruits.

poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - NOV 11, 2016
On tap at Fisherman’s Market. Pours clear gold with a white head that collapses into a collar immediately; the collar lasts longer than a lot of macros, though. Aroma of corn, generic beer, blandness. Taste is a little sweet and seemingly has a lot more flavor than most beers of this ilk. Not bad for what it is.
