330 ml bottle, thanks to Ingo! Sampled on June 12, 2015.yenbeer (188) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 14, 2015
Hazy to cloudy yellow color, small white head. Sweet, caramel, a bit hoppy scent. Malty, bitter taste. Bitter aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
No skunk smell, nor any bad flavors here. But the palate is a bit too weak and the flavor is really washed out. Decent compromise if you’re in the market for a daisan though: lack of both the good and the bad leaves you a really neutral can that’s easy to chug. KyotoLefty (10264) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 24, 2014
Can. Served very cold. Oily golden color, clear, fine head. Biscuity malt, lemon and grassy hop nose, trying to be a helles. Thin flavor, minerals, sweet lemon, biscuits. Not a great flavor by any means, but not gross. A bit of alcohol and lemon candy take it down. Useless, as expected, but better than the last one. A bit. rather lame carbonation and body. 350 ml can bought at YATA in Grand Century Place, Mong Kok.
Piss pale golden yellow colour; Half finger head and soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Moderate sticky lacing and notable small carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, with barley grains, sugar, very light floral, white bread, light lemon and light grass; Light sweet taste of thin malt, with very light grains, soda water, thin molasses, light bread, light lemon, very light bitter hops and light grass; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is a several stepped-up Happoshu, very close to a watery macro Pale Lager. Malt taste is a lot stronger in a thin background, very light barley grains, low and okay sweetness, quite bready and notable light hops, no other adjunct or off-tastes. Not bad at all!... Hoppiness is very light floral, light lemon and slight smelly grass in nose. Light lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is light but notable at macro level for a low-fi sweet-bitter semi-finish; Slightly dry after taste; Easy and quite malty to mouth.
Comments: A well-made Happoshu, which gives the impression of a very light macro Pale. That’s some accomplishment after having so many crappy Happoshus. Very drinkable and one that I can sit back and relax with. Alright!

Lata. Clear yellow, small fizzy head. Quite mild aroma and flavour: Bit malty with minerals and light short bitterish touch. More in the aroma than in the flavour. Thin. Goes straight down. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 13, 2013
Can in Room, Hearton Hotel Kyoto - shared with Mette. Malty touch, hay, straw, light bitter notes, cardboard, metallic, plain for a premium...... maekchu (3917) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 13, 2012
Can from Yamaya. Typical cardboard and spirits aroma. Medium straw color, with scuzzy foam. Initial is also cardboard (but since this is a "premium" happosho -- Ha! -- it’s not quite as off-putting as many regular ones are); mid brings a mild sweetness and lots of carbonation; final is flat and metallic. Thin-medium body. Not really offensive, but not really good either.
