Sampled at Toronto beer festival. I can say that this surprisingly was the first time I didn’t mind a light beer (I still don’t see the point though). I do not remember the smell. It tasted rather grassy and dare I say corn? Not bad.

Despite being in a brown bottle, this has a surprisingly strong skunk smell out of the bottle. It really fills the surrounding area w/ ripe, delicious skunk aroma. It’s a yellow beer w/ nearly no head. The aroma is skunk and and a sweetness that implies heavy use of adjunct grains--not that there’s anything wrong w/ that. There is also a light tartness that perks the nose in a bit of an unpleasant way. There’s really no suprises hidden in the flavor after smelling this. It’s a rather thin beer which comes off as sweet not because of maltiness but lack of hops. It’s Somewhat flat but what carbonation there is is fine and fizzy. Really, there is just not much here to like and quite a few things to dislike. This is not Japan’s finest effort.

Clear, light, not a lot of head, but highly carbonated. Malty taste, very little bitterness, no hops flavor. Unfortunately, quite bland.

Bottle: lite, thin, some malti Sapporo like traces. Bought in Panama. Food Pairing: Spicy seafood.

Given that I do not like Sapporo I had to try this. I have to admit for colored water with some kind of crisp (very little) bite, it is not as bad as regular. But I won’t buy it again.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dry cornish. Bitter and cornish flavoured. Light grassy touch. Bitter and dry finish.

riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 23, 2010
Aroma is lightly beery, but almost mute. Pours light yellow golden with of bubbles and not much head. Rice, light bread, and a touch of grass. Super light body, crisp finish, nice with sushi and for a tick.

JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - OCT 6, 2009
Bubbly light golden liquid with a smallish but stable white head. Sweet, corn and grain aromas. HInts of alcohol, never good in a beer this light. Fresh cut grass, corn silage, white grapes, and floral scents as well. I would have guessed malt liquor. Light sweet malt taken back by a earthy hops bitterness. Has that under attenuated flavors found in many NA beers. Watery flavors throughout. Quite dry in the finish with a dried floral arrangement coming to mind.

12oz bottle at a restaurant poured surprisingly into an appropriate lager glass. Clear yellow with white head. Aroma is all sweet. Flavor is sweet and corn.

Pours clear gold with white head. Smell is smooth grains and lightly grassy hops. Taste is a bit odd with strange honey, cereal sweetness at first follwed by crisp bubbly water. Watery, but still a slightly unpleasant flavor for a pale lager, but drinkable. Wouldn’t recommend or get again though.
