From the can, this looks just like their "Original" except a little lighter yellow versus orange. It has the expected macro airy aroma. The flavor is smooth to a fault, almost flat. It's malty, to be sure, but I like this better than the Original.

beastdog75 (364) - Brick, New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2003
Better than the Sapporo Draft in a can, but the main flavor still tastes like metal. Kind of harsh. Has some grainy and fruity sweetness to it.

clvand0 (350) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - AUG 15, 2003
This beer pours a plain yellow color with a small white head that quickly disappears and no lacing on the glass. The aroma is a little malty, a little wheaty, but very plain in actuality. The flavor is very plain and uninteresting. Obviously a mass-produced beer, but for some reason, the Reserve is not as tasty as the regular Sapporo. Who knows.

roomtempbeer (185) - Franklin, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2003
From a can, beer pours (in Chimay glass) an applejiuce (piss, read 'urine')-golden color with virgin-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is strong straw, grass, vegetal. Flavor is strong straw, grass with an overpowering disgusting bitter aftertaste. Drainpour. Terrible, terrible, disgusting. A shame to the name 'beer'. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JUL 29, 2003
Better than the typical mass produced lager, for whatever that is worth. Color is not bad, slightly darker and fuller looking than its brethern. Very foamy head. Tastes metallic and finishes even more metallic.

Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUL 14, 2003
Nice gold color, uneven white head. Pleasantly sweet malts - medium bodied. Finish is clean then bitter and aluminum (from the can? or is it a psycological effect?) The finish got better as it warmed

cAPSLOCK (156) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 1, 2003
Not much aroma... smells like yellow beer. The head is white and foamy. The malt wants to be tasted but it is overridden by a bitter flavor... maybe the can? The word to describe this beer overall is: Metallic.

Hopistotle420 (1178) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 10, 2003
Pale golden copper hue. Thick foamy white head. Grainy alcohol nose. Smells like Old English or some crap. Really watery, nasty grain, light metal, light bodied, finishes with a real crappy bitterness. Kinda like heineken out of a can.

Kasteelfreak (341) - Fallbrook, California, USA - MAY 30, 2003
Just OK. Kind of maltier version of American lager. There's realy not much more to say about this, except that is very average. Good but average.

Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2003
Specimen colored, but cool can. Sapporo continues to impress with their packaging. So-so to better-than-average. Fairly dry, moderately hoppy. Tangy hop and peppery finish, which clings a little too much.
