From a can, beer pours (in Chimay glass) an applejiuce (piss, read 'urine')-golden color with virgin-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is strong straw, grass, vegetal. Flavor is strong straw, grass with an overpowering disgusting bitter aftertaste. Drainpour. Terrible, terrible, disgusting. A shame to the name 'beer'. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

Better than the typical mass produced lager, for whatever that is worth. Color is not bad, slightly darker and fuller looking than its brethern. Very foamy head. Tastes metallic and finishes even more metallic.

Nice gold color, uneven white head. Pleasantly sweet malts - medium bodied. Finish is clean then bitter and aluminum (from the can? or is it a psycological effect?) The finish got better as it warmed

Not much aroma... smells like yellow beer. The head is white and foamy. The malt wants to be tasted but it is overridden by a bitter flavor... maybe the can? The word to describe this beer overall is: Metallic.

Pale golden copper hue. Thick foamy white head. Grainy alcohol nose. Smells like Old English or some crap. Really watery, nasty grain, light metal, light bodied, finishes with a real crappy bitterness. Kinda like heineken out of a can.

Just OK. Kind of maltier version of American lager. There's realy not much more to say about this, except that is very average. Good but average.

Specimen colored, but cool can. Sapporo continues to impress with their packaging. So-so to better-than-average. Fairly dry, moderately hoppy. Tangy hop and peppery finish, which clings a little too much.

JoeM500 (1908) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - APR 14, 2003
Huge twisted can for 99. Poured ultra-fizzy and the head ran over and over, spilling everywhere. Smells much like any US macro-swill (corn, newspaper, metallic, grass) but has a much fuller taste. The grassiness was nice, and the grainy, ricy, malty middle wasn't offensive, as most are. Huge can for under a buck if you are looking for such a thing (I was).

Panzuriel (2125) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2003
Yellow beer with a nice head. Somewhat metallic smelling. Flavor slightly sweet with hints of metal towards the middle. SOmewhat watery and weak. Pretty non-descript, but decent.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2005 Optimistic about this all malt pale lager, but the appearance was not very promising, a faded inconsistently pissy gold with a foaming but rapidly fading head. Light hint of herbs and spicy hops in the nose, a touch of buttery malts. Hints at a weakish but true pilsner. Perhaps some DMS vegetal notes skirting the edges of the nose. Pretty bland though, and flattish. Dead on the tongue. Slickly sweet because it really lacks bittering hops, and not much flavoring hops either. Feels like a weak malt liquor in the end.
