Glass from tap at Umineko (Yokohama). It tastes like a cross between lager and white ale or wheat beer. Soft, banana notes, good companion for a sushi dinner

Mild grain aroma. Wheat, touch of lemon, mild grassy hops, clean finish. Refreshing but pretty flavorless and boring overall.

Bottle at Ginza Lion, Tokyo. Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Almost non existent hops aroma. Light and watery. Slightly bitter hops flavour.

New beer from Sapporo which is apparently a cross between a premium lager and a wheat beer. Had on tap in one of the bars in Nonbei Yokochou near Shibya station. Hazy pale blond colour with small white head. Aroma is slightly citrus hoppy but mainly wheaty. Tastes quite creamy, touch of bitterness. Dry and crisp. Quite refreshing and makes a change from the normal draft lagers that are most places in Japan. In conclusion, ok.
