September 1st, 2009 - Third on the list of offerings from the Yebisu Museum’s tasting line is the Major Ale, or the "Mild Type" as it was labeled. Amber and clear, it’s not easy to see where this brew is going with eyes alone. The aroma is rich with caramel and apple, and hints at something like an ESB. In the flavor is a lot more sugar, with touches of cinnamon, but not much. Like an ESB is features mostly flat, cardboard like floppy flavors, and a relatively flat palate. Draught at The Beer Museum. Clear red/amber - white head. Toasted, artificial notes in the aroma, berries, caramel, sulfor, grainy, syrup, licorice, synthetic.
