Got this in Hiroshima. Light yellow not much head retention. It has a fruity bubblegum combination in the flavor. There is a grassy bit and carbonic bite to boot. GenDV138 (7231) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 5, 2014
Draft at some bar in Shiambashi, Nagasaki. Clear yellow with off-white head. Aromas of wheat, corn, floral, light skunk. Tastes of light skunk, corn, wheat, citrus. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Silvan7 (1242) - Samarate, ITALY - MAY 22, 2013
On tap , Kanazawa.

September 1st, 2009 - The difference between the standard, uniformed Yebisu and the special Premium Mellowed Yebisu is lethargy, or age. This brew has had longer to lager, which when I translate it means: you took the effort to come all the way out to our museum, and frankly, we’d be a little embarrassed to serve you a regular, pedestrian pale lager while you’re ogling our heritage and history. I might have to check a couple words on my Japanese dictionary, but the that’s the gist of it. And indeed, this beer is a deeper gold, clear, and a slightly different aroma. It has all the spritziness and aroma of mineral water common to pale lagers, but a nice cashew nuttiness too. The body is fuller, more mature, with some actual flavor of pilsner malt, and without the attending bitterness or skunkiness. This proves that the potential for good beer is out there, just waiting to be tapped. Supply side problem? No - maybe demand, and maybe I’ve been a bit too harsh on Japan’s brewers. 334 ml bottle in Ken Yakitori on K Road. Yeasty and malty aroma. Pours clear golden with white head that disappated quickly. Slow steady stream of bubbles. Low fizz and not too acidic. Malty with slight bitterness very light and leaves almost no taste in the mouth. Dryness asking for another swig. Refreshing drink would be great after mowing the lawn. Can. The beer pours clear deep golden with a big white head. The aroma is quite malty with notes of caramel and light fruit. Sweet malty flavour with notes of dark fruit and caramel and leaves some alcohol on the tongue.
