Yamato (39) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 19, 2015
It sure goes down well, like any other Japanese pilsners. Pours pale golden. Moderate carbonation and hop. Good one, but I cannot understand why people appreciate it so much, cause to me, the body is light and just another ordinary pilsner.

Ysok02 (1559) - Mons, BELGIUM - SEP 3, 2015
Une bière marquée par les arômes de malt et d’’épices au nez, avec une bouche assez ample et onctueuse, agréable sur les sushis

jinroh (1595) - ESTONIA - AUG 15, 2015
Finally got around to rating this beer. A lot of memories, it used to be slightly more expensive than Asahi, Kirin or Suntory and I had it only as a special treat as a student. Thought it was the best Japanese beer. Well, now I know better :) Pours clear golden, bit of white foam, quite aggressive carbonation. Aroma has malty character, lots of sweetness and some wet cardboard. Taste is malty-artificial sweetner-sweet. A bit of bitterness at the end and a short finish. Not really the beer I thought it is when at university but well, at least it seems to have more body compared with other big industrial beers. I guess I will still drink it once in a while.

allmyvinyl (10613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 11, 2015
Can at Ashton McCobb’s. Pours clear gold with a head. Aromas of malt, sugar, honey. Taste is sweet, thin, malty, bit grim finish.

Last wee tasting of the summer

Stuu666 (13395) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 11, 2015
Can at ash’s. Pours clear amber, nose is sweet toffee, floral, glue, taste is dry, grassy, floral, more glue.

AshtonMcCobb (6604) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 11, 2015
Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with an attractive fluffy head, some of which hangs around. Nose - honey or even syrup. Taste - same again, but somehow very thin too. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and it doesn’t finish clean which is definitely an issue with lager. Overall - if a lager doesn’t refresh you, it’s not doing anything.

Tarosama (84) - Northumberland, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2015
Probably the best “Ordinary” Japanese beer you can buy. It is malty, good head retention, good body and nice hoppy aftertaste.

jpkeskinen (515) - FINLAND - JUL 11, 2015
Drank as a draught. A very ordinary lager: there is not that much taste apart from a slight maltiness.

YantarCoast (1368) - Moscow, RUSSIA - MAY 24, 2015
330ml can from Kyoto. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is malt. Taste is also malts. Nice hoppy bitterness.

Manslow (1649) - Warsaw, POLAND - MAY 19, 2015
Kolor jasnozłoty, piany praktycznie brak. Aromat i smak jak to w lagerze, nikły, nijaki, trochę słodu, słodkawe. Nic szczególnego
