Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow to light amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (grain/cereal, husks, caramel), lightly hoppy (herbs, apricot), with notes of concrete, metal, detergent.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Grain husks and industrial flaws cover up any fleeting enticement this might have underneath. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 17, 2013
Pours copper with an off white head. Aroma is earthy, biscuit, caramel and a trace of citrus. Taste is sweet all around. Medium bodied with a smooth and almost creamy mouth feel. Metalchopz (3534) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 8, 2013
Originally rated June 2012. Purchased at Walmart in Connecticut (under Adirondack Lager). :P. Pours an amber colour with a nice creamy off-white head that stays a long time. Good cereal malt and caramel notes. Same for taste with a little hop in the finish. Pretty decent for a lager. Refreshing, with more taste than most macros. tbopslt (354) - New York, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Labeled as Adirondack Lager. Pours a hazy amber. Minor aroma of hops and malt. A little hoppy for my taste and in this class. Niko100 (2994) - Chicago, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2013

12oz Bottle into pint glass. Half finger worths head, dissapated quickly. Nice orange/yellow amber color, noticeable carbonation bubbles floating up. Aroma is very weak, almost maybe citrus? Very carbonated mouth feel, followed by generic lager taste which quickly leaves the mouth.
A very weak beer. maslupulos (39) - North Carolina, USA - FEB 26, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with off-white head that quickly disappears. Getting a lot of sweet toasted malts off the nose with a little herbal hop. Taste is sweet with grainy cereal and toffee notes. There is a bit of hop bitterness to balance things out. Not up there with a good German marzen, but still a solid beer from Saranac. collinmb (66) - - JAN 27, 2013
Not much to the beer, a typical lager. Gorgeous color and thats about it. Little aroma, medium body, light hops.

Bottle- Deep copper color with a small head that fades to some lacing. Mild sweet caramel and malt aroma. Starts a bit sweet with malt and a mild bitter finish. Fairly light body with some carbonation. Nothing fancy, just a nice middle of the road beer.

12 oz bottle poured in standard pint glass. Clear and attractive copper color with a finger of off-white head. The head soon reduced to a thin coat. Mild roasted malt aroma with detectable hops.
T - also mild and mostly malty; taste is similar to a marzen, with little hop presence or bitterness. Some sourness. I liked the nose a little better than the taste.
M - thin and slightly watery; carbonation a bit too low.
D - lacks complexity, boldness, or distinctiveness. Certainly not bad, but disappointing.
