COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original award-winning Saranac beer is brewed in the German Lager tradition using Noble hops. We balance the hop bitterness with caramel malt sweetness, creating what we like to call a “round” beer.

Have to agree with the rater who described this as inoffensive but only mildly interesting.

fairly unremarkable amber, i suspect that if i were blindfolded i’d guess it was an ordinary american micro-lager. nice knotty pine yellow, but about as much head as a finishing nail. hot dog bun bready maltiness in smell, hops on the palate. improves as it warms somewhat, but great beers served ’round here seldom get a chance to warm up much, so that tells you this one languished somewhat.

Go for it. A good beer.

Steak (124) - New York, USA - MAR 2, 2002
Aroma was almost non-existant, except for some hopiness. Color was unremarkable. Taste was well balanced, but nothing to induce any raves. Another mediocre effort from this brewer

Nothing special, but will suffice over some others. Not many mind you.

adirondack? just a fancy name for a would-be special lager. get a sam adams specialty instead.

NJBeerman013 (1054) - Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, USA - FEB 14, 2002
Deep amber color, nice white head. Real hoppy, which I like. Nice malt but a little too mellow to show very much. Head diminishes into a light froth.

Not my type, but still a good quality beer.
