COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our original award-winning Saranac beer is brewed in the German Lager tradition using Noble hops. We balance the hop bitterness with caramel malt sweetness, creating what we like to call a “round” beer.

Nice amber, but not much from it’s bouquet. Average at best. Not memorable and it’s taste was watery.

Not much to the beer, a typical lager. Gorgeous color and thats about it. Little aroma, medium body, light hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle. Dark gold/amber body with almost no head. Aroma is mildly sweet. Mouthfeel is thin with little in the way of taste...almost like its trying to be bland.

Pours amber true to it’s name. Head faded quickly. Smelled of malt and hay. interesting aftertaste. A lot of carbonation.decent but nothing special.

Saranac 12 Beers undated package (purchased 12-02): As wunderbier sez: "Frothy white head... deep copper-amber body... (and here's the part that I like!) ...a marriage of mineral water and beer." Perhaps Yuengling without the cooked vegetable rancidness?

The "Lager." A warm red poor but weak head. A sweeter lager. Some malts and hops.

Don’t listen to Jonathan--these used to be the only kinds of beers he would drink. "Beer should taste like beer," he would say, shunning the very porters and stouts he now favors and savors. But he is right about this one; this beer is quite boring, though wonderfully chuggable.

Another summer beer from Saranac, not much to this one either. It's good ice cold on a hot day, but nothing else about really stands out. The B&T, Black Forest and Scotch Ale are the best Saranac has to offer.

Refreshing beer. Pours golden, surprisingly thick head. good yeast aroma. A beer that you could have more then one of at a time.
