Color is a nice amber orange with a nice white head. Cant really put my finger on the aroma, kinda hoppy. The start has a rich nutty hoppiness that lasts throughout. The bitterness dies towards the finish leaving a pleasant and non-overbearing finish. The palate is a good balance between heavy and light. Another solid brew by the Matt brewery! I am more than likely being a little too generous with my rating on this beer. However I found it to be quite pleasing for an amber. A nice bitter/sweet flavor with a semi good carbonation. Now this is not a great amber like garrison quoted, but it is quite good. Full body, but not as complex as the brewing company said it would be. None of the beers that I have tried from this company were great, but rather standard. I had higer expectations for it, but oh well. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - OCT 10, 2003
Its copper in color. Has a nice clean aroma. Malty with a lasting head. Its well bvalanced by the hops. Pleasant to drink. Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2004
This is a very crisp and enjoyable lager. It tastes very close to the Oktoberfest style and was medium bodied and smooth. Definitely something worth trying and recommended in my book.

A very good tasting beer. Light taste with plenty of aftertaste. A good tasting beer. Would try again. dwyerpg (6375) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 18, 2005
Pretty good looking/smelling lager...er, vienna. If your everyday lager was this nice, I would be more appreciative of the style. But then again, I guess, your everyday lager would in fact be a vienna. blkitson (158) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - APR 5, 2006
The first Saranac that I really enjoyed. No after taste, but I can stand the little bit of the heavy beer taste. Would definitely buy this beer again tonysweetman (2) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2010 does not count
medium body, pale, clear, golden, amber, tan foam, lightly sour, medium sweetness, nice almost fruity taste with a small bite. generallee08 (773) - New York, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Adirondack Lager pours a clean and clear amber color with a big foamy head. The big white head leaves delicate lace patters on the glass. In the nose, white bread and lightly toasted malts mix with honey and hops. In the mouth sweet caramel and toasty malts are balanced buy some hop bitterness that leads into a crisp refreshing finish. The carbonation is mellow with a medium body and a smooth mouth feel.
