My bottle says "Lager", and that’s what it tasted like to me. And not a real good one either.
Bottle. Clear orange color with white head that didn’t leave any lace. Starnge aroma of grape candy, husky grain, and light malty caramel. Tasted of hay and again of grape candy. Slightly tart on the tongue. jonwayne4883 (401) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 26, 2007
12 oz bottle adirondack lager. brought this home from a trip to NY. decent amber, good color, taste not unpleasant but not memorable. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - MAR 7, 2007
12oz bottle of Saranac Adirondack Lager. light orange color. light hop aroma. no flavor. light bodied. small bitter finish. sheatripper (863) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - APR 5, 2008
Bottle. Amber colored with a frothy off- white head. What seemed to be intended as a competent lager of honeyed cereal malts and floral hops was basically ruined by an annoying salty funkiness. Probably a defective bottle, but this was enough of a bad experience that even taking into consideration the good qualities of this beer it’s just not worth going back.

Bottle shared by Taylor. Smell is buttery and crystal malty. Buttery corn...this may be infected, because it tastes gross. Undrinkable towards the end. BeerFanDan17 (1120) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - SEP 13, 2008
Average lager. Nothing outstanding here. Hints of fruit or caramel--nothing really stands out. Smooth though. hoppopotamus (260) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - JUN 2, 2009
Amber beer with a smallf white head. Smell is weak (a hint of malt), taste is weak (a hint of hop bitterness). Just basically has the character of a macrobrew lager. Saranac is garbage. xmandax (130) - Astoria, New York, USA - JAN 17, 2003
not as deep as i'd like from an amber. seemed a little under-carbonated, perhaps. not much hop, or much flabor really. AdamSkillin (376) - High Bridge, New Jersey, USA - JAN 21, 2006
A little more color than plain old Saranac Lager, less bitter finish, a little too sweet. A little more bittering hops could balance out the sweetness, but I’m stuck here trying to scrape it off my tongue with my teeth.
