Saranac Big Moose Ale is an American Pale Ale with a kick. The medium-bodied malt sweetness is balanced by a nice crisp bitterness from hand selected centennial and cascade hops. Look for a vibrant citrusy hop aroma that will leave you craving another swig!

Decent sized white head of fine bubbles. Very nice aroma with lots of floral hops, some citrus fruit, light caramel malts and some cheese. Color is dark amber. Moderate bitterness and dryness but backed up with some soft malts, lemon and cereal grains. Finishes moderately dry and rather bitter. No noticable alcohol presence. This is a pretty good APA.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts with a nice amount of floral and bitter hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty standard pale ale.

Pours a honey color. Lots of citrus on the nose. Some citrus notes in the taste, but mostly some bitterness from the malt. An odd, almost sour, finish. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JAN 7, 2013
It poured a clear yellow and had a big white head that clings well and lingers lightly on top. The smell is a mix of citrus scents with hints of pine, slight malt sweetness coming through. The taste is clean and very light, and not bitter. The palate is about a medium with some harshness on the tongue. Overall, this is one of the better beers by Matt Brewing Company.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle at the Headwaters Motor Lodge in Boonville, NY. Clear, medium-dark amber with 2-finger off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet fresh bread, grain, floral and pine hops and caramel. Taste of floral hops, grain, bread, pine and caramel. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
