2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Simple, easy-drinking, no big flaws. Nice hop bitters and a little juicy citrus flavor in the finish. But, really lacking aroma, any malt flavor, anything to balance the hops, or any reason to spend money (albeit very little) on this beer.
Draught @ Albion. Clear rich golden yellow with small foamy off-white head, very faint citrus aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste with little citrus flavor, thin body, long medium bitter finish. Not bad though lacking a bit of character. generallee08 (778) - New York, USA - JUN 10, 2014
The body has a beautiful clear amber body with some slow moving carbonation. On top sits a tight thick and creamy light tan head. The head has good retention and cling which makes lots of cool lacing on the glass. Its nose has a pleasant lemony citrus note coming through with some pale malty sweetness under that. Bright citrus hops flash across the palate up front. Just after that nice bready and sweet malty notes sneak in before the hop bitterness and dry yeast flavor sweeps over and fades into the finish. The body has a nice medium body with lively balanced carbonation, This is a very well made and enjoyable pale ale with very good balance and bright flavors. It is simple, very refreshing and highly drinkable.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark golden amber color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades. Aroma is full of grassy hops and a bready malt backbone. The taste is full of grassy hop bitterness followed by buttery chewy malt. Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation.

Bottle. Was not impressed. Color was a deep gold. Some, but not great head. Taste was weak, straw, not much hops. Aroma was watery and hay like. Beergeek23322 (2643) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUL 29, 2013
November 2009. Bottle from a mix Saranac sampler. Light amber color with a white head. Caramel and sweet aromas. Bland and not very complex. Drinkable, but just not interesting. j12601 (13099) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a medium sized white head. Sweet on the nose, toasted caramel and toffee, somewhat papery. Medium bodied, soft toffee and sweetness. Toasty into the finish moving to a soft bitterness. Not terrible, not memorable. UncleKorm (1337) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle poured a clear amber w/ a frothy medium off-white head and decent lacing. Mild aroma of biscuits and oranges. Initial flavor is a faint sweet w/ a big bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are lemon citrus. lemon rind, and pine. The lemon dominates the other flavors. This is not a sweet lemon aid flavor it is more like taking a bite of a lemon whole. The beer just doesn’t have the backbone to support it. Medium bodied, average carbonation, and a pleasant mouthfeel.
