A dark brown beer with an OK brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of nuts, and some roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of roasted malt, giving it a dry mouthfeel, but also notes of cola, nuts, and a bit of soy sauce. The end is dry and quite roasted, but the body is a bit watery. joergen (28771) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2005

Roasted aroma with notes of caramel and hops.
Roasted flavour with notes of hops. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 7, 2007
Bottled (thanks gnoff!). Dark brownish amber colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is malts, some caramel and burnt sugar. Flavour is malts, paper as well as some hoppyness in the finish. The hops grows in the aftertaste. Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 17, 2005
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Dark, very dark with a reddish tint. Filtered with a fine, creamy beige head. Soft water, but extremely dry and very bitter. Not really my style. Leighton (21861) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2009
Another great beer from the Saranac gang. A wonderful representation of the Irish stout. It’s full-bodied with a touch of bitterness and notes of coffee and chocolate. Delicious.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2008 Dark brown colour. Aroma of peanuts, light roast and brutally oppressive diacetyl. Watery and thin. Lots of diacetyl, also some cheap coffee roastiness. All told, pretty terrible stuff. yngwie (17109) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 20, 2007
Bottled. Pours clear, ruby-colored with a beige head. Roasted malt, toffee, coffee-notes and some fruityness in the aroma. The flavor is quite mellow, with coffee and roasted malt, and a dry, coffeeish finish and a fruity touch. Theres even some hints of butterscotch. Medium-bodied, dry mouthfeel. Decent. Bottle. Weak roasted aroma. Almost black colour, red shine. Small stable creamy tan head. Nice, mildly roasted flavour. Hint of sweetness. Sweet liquorice. Weak fruit finish. Well-balanced.
