Brewed to pay homage to our founders homeland, our German-Style Schwarzbier is brewed true to style with a deliciously sweet malty flavor. It may be dark in color but its not heavy on roasted flavor like most people expect in a dark beer. BEER STYLE: Bavarian Black Beer MALT: Two-Row, Caramel HOPS: Mt Hood, Hallertauer ABV: 5.3%

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagans place. Thanks kerenmk. Dark brown-colored. Malty aroma with caramel, light roasty hints and some nutty notes. Sweet caramelly flavor. Light to medium-bodied. Feels to me more like a Dunkel than a Schwarzbier. OK.

Bottle @ lfestival, Esbjerg, 2009.
Pours clear dark amber with a fizzy, off-white head. Aroma is light metallic, some black berries, caramel and light roasted notes. Highish carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is also lightly metallic, some caramel, light berries and only mildly roasted. IT is okay, it just is a bit dull.
