Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean. Dark red body with medium head. Nose is spicy, nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is malts, spices, caramel, nutmeg again. Prickly texture. Good one. McGarnigle (660) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 19, 2016
Bottle. This is impressive from Saranac, which is a pretty mediocre brewery IMO. More orange-brown than red, it’s a classic hop-punch-from-velvet-glove brew. Citrus and pine, red tasting malts (like something from an Irish red). Clean yeast. Warming, but not syrupy. HourGlass13 (1110) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 11, 2016
Pours up a pretty, clear, Amber color with a thin white head on top. Aroma is hoppy, with orange peel, light caramel, fresh bread, and some grassy notes. Taste is sweet with a pleasant citric bite and a light spicy note in the finish. Nice carbonation, and slight alcohol warmth, this beer has nice quality to it. 2 thumbs up for Saranac!! freekyp (2482) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JUL 9, 2016
A big malty amber with spicy resinous hops. Brown sugar, maraschino.cherry, pine. Pours deep reddish amber. Excellent. Meal-in-a-bottle. Nice beige lacing trails. alobar (3993) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2016

More of an IPA I guess, strong hop presence in nose taste and very dry finish. Dark amber and clear. Nice head day 1 of growler pretty flat day 2. Nose of caramel and pine. Old school. Ron (4291) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 26, 2016
Bottle. Pours a dark amber with minimal white head and no lace... Which is common for high ABV beers. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, pine and some citrus hops. Taste is caramel, sweet malts, honey, pine, spruce and a little bitterness on the finish. coldbrewky (1731) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - APR 24, 2016
Well, put simply, sitting in the yard about the firepit after stage one is complete of BTL’s and my plan to dominate part of the beer revolution. Amber for sure... thinner head, robust hops, and yeah, its kinda like Bigfoot light. Nice one FX Matt. Cheers to you. ByTheirLimpin (321) - New York, USA - APR 22, 2016
Bottle to tulip. Deep red amber with a fluffy off white head. Nose is dank forest floor hop. Palate is interesting, amber sweetness, offset with a dry piney hop. Saltine in the finish. Yum. r464 (2388) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2016
Malty aroma. Malty, nutty caramel with a bit of earthiness. Full and smooth, a bit of roasty notes. Fairly hoppy in the finish. Overall a rather sweet and full amber.
