COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crisp, clean taste; look for the trademark hop aroma and finish from "dry-hopping" and wheat malts.

Golden coloured. Dry and bitter. Complex. Similar to a Czechish pilsener.

I nice beer to enjoy with my lady - she’s a pilsener gal. Light, crisp and refreshing, the Golden Pilsener from Saranac is a nice beer. Slightly bitter and wheaty, it should please most fans of the pilsener style.

Pours a clear gold in the glass. Decent head. Nose and taste are light toast, wheats and little spice. Rated 1/13/2000

Sustained white froth atop pale golden body. Strong grassy hoppy aroma. Taste is medium-strength German/grassy hoppy. There’s good grassy bitterness in the swallow, sustained in the aftertaste. Altogether, my favorite of the Saranac brews I’ve tried.

Lubiere (13796) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 8, 2005
Golden Pilsener bought at Potsdam IGA, summr pack. Pale yellow colour with a thick foamy white head. Interesting peppery mint aroma, light corn and perfumey notes. In mouth, sweet crisp malt, with peppery hops, a bit grassy but pleasant. Not bad.

2.4
Drake (13652) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2008
12 oz. bottle. Golden color with a medium frothy head and columns of carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is skunky and grassy. Tart taste, almost tasting of a tart candy with apple and grassy notes. Not bitterness. As others have said, this is definitely an odd brew.

2.6
Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 13, 2006
This beer is a clear golden color with a medium thin white head with pretty good retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Light floral hops and a touch of wheat in the nose. Light-bodied with mildly bitter hops, citrus and grainy malt flavors. The finish is bitter and almost too astringent due to the lack of any real flavor behind it. This one isn’t really worth going back to.

12oz bottle-pours a white head with yellow color. Aroma is grain, some hops. Taste is a nice light/medium grain/malt. Mild hop finish. Good carbonation.

Bottle. Very light sweet malt aroma. Medium golden yellow color with small head. Sweet apple malt flavor with mild hops finish. A pleasant mild pilsener but not very strong - light.
