2.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an attractive orange color with a slight head. Nose is kinda funky, and that comes through on the taste. Also has some caramel. Eh. Drinkable, but that is as far as I will go. I find many Saranac beers to be missing something - good efforts but seem to fall short of being great.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden straw color with a one finger white head. The head fades rather rapidly leaving some spotty foam on the surface of the brew and a decent lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a mix of some grainy wheat and bread smells and a bit of of a lemon and grass aroma. Mixed with these aromas is a little bit of caramel and an orange sweetness giving the brew an overall aroma that is of a slightly grainy bready smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a grainy wheat and lightly sweetened taste of a citrus nature of lemon and orange. The sweetness begins fading with the flavor taking on a slightly more bitter and sour flavor as the taste moves on. Other grassy flavors then come to the tongue with a little bit of the sweetness of caramel coming back to the tongue, leaving a decently wheaty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. Both are rather appropriate for the style and make for an easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – A decent brew but more summer like then fall like overall. Rather refreshing wheat beer with a decent sweetness but yet still crispness. Ron (4259) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 23, 2014

I found this pretty unenjoyable. Overly sweet, fruity, odd spice flavors all in an unbalanced mash-up. Not for me. monk191 (2022) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 22, 2013
An average ale. Pours an orange with a light white head. Smells great, like red apples and a bit of pumpkin. Taste starts with some apple, but then nothing. Finishes empty. Had in the bottle.

From a bottle nice cloudy pour of vanilla colored beer. I’ve got a special place for saranac beers. Yes, has a mild barely wheaty aroma. Does have a little of that ill ale attitude but for the most part its a somewhat enjoyable sizzly beer. Some medium bitterness builds on the sides of the tongue as the session continues. Not bad overall but could use a few manners. nuplastikk (6511) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 13, 2013
12oz bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan. Thin, frothy, uneven white head. Kind of a dulled barny wheat aroma. Biting dryness up from leads to a grainy malt finish. Not really capturing the style of anything in particular, really poor executed hoppy American Wheat I suppose. Pretty bad, highly disappointing beer. Comes across like a cheap English beer after awhile..thin fishy malt tones. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - SEP 30, 2013
9/30/2013. 12 oz. bottle. Pours clear golden color with a white head. Aromas of caramel, spice, malt. Spicy flavors from the hops, a little caramel. Light hoppy finish.
