Bottle from Kroger from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor had floral hops, grainy malt, light caramel, light citrus, the hops seemed old and nothing really popped. Boring, overproduced ipa. Eberndt (235) - - JUN 13, 2014
12oz can from Saranac sampler 12 pack. Piney hops flavor and a bitter finish to it. generallee08 (778) - New York, USA - JUN 4, 2014
It pours a nice golden amber with a thin white head that leaves good lacing on the glass, but the hops are the main focus here. The aroma of hops fills the nose with a floral, piney and resiny bouquet. The palate is medium bodied with an earthy malt character that is subdued by the by the fairly strong but not overpowering hops. Hop notes on the tongue are piney, citrusy and a little bit floral. Saranacs IPA has a pleasant hop bitterness from start to finish and is very refreshing and easy to drink. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a light colored amber brown with a decent transparency. Carbonation was seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a white foamy head that started to dissipate after/about less than about fifty seconds.
The smell had some bitter piney hops intertwined with caramel malts.
The taste was sharp and bitter and only as it warmed, the malts started to come out.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium on the body - so it gives a fairly sessionable aspect to it. Harsh carbonation is good for the style.
Overall, good AIPA by FX/Matt brewing company, and I would say its worthy of having again. Darkmagus82 (2303) - - MAY 18, 2014

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance - A golden color; a bit lighter then the traditional IPA of ~ the same abv, which forms a foamy head that fades quite fast leaving a small amount of foam that persists throughout the drinking experience.
Smell - A citrus mixed with hay-like and floral aroma. Not super strong, but a nice blend none the less.
Taste - A very small amount of sweet maltiness first meets the tongue, but is then dominated and highly overpowered by a bitter citrus flavor of lemon and grapefruit which then go on to dominate the flavor profile.
Mouthfeel - A moderate mouthfeel. Nothing special, but not bad. Easy to drink.
Overall - Not a bat beer. If you are feeling something a little more bitter not a bad choice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein oranges Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig fruchtig, bitter. Geschmack intensiv fruchtig hopfig, stark malzig. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 21, 2014
(bottle from UDBeernut for Krampus) Pours a semi-hazy orange/copper color with a very thin white head that leaves a thin film. Aroma is mildly hoppy, with some orange, maybe pine, caramel, and an off smell that I can’t quite place. Maybe dill? Taste is kind of a biscuit-caramel sweetness mixed with a minerally flavor and light hits of orange and bitter hops. Not really much else there. It’s not offensive, but it’s not really much of anything. Overall a middling IPA. Atom (2600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 24, 2014
12oz bottle via BoostIPA for Krampus pours a clear copper/orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is very muted faded caramel malt and regurgitated hop spice. Very mild light taste of non distinct hop spice same goes for the malt profile. IPA Light? Not much as far a flavor, might be sessionable on a hot day, certainly not offensive. Not one of the best American IPA in circulation, good color and the foam is washed out but then the taste without persistence and notes with palatati monotonous and unpleasant nittanytide (289) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Poured deep gold, with a thin white head. Faint floral aroma. Watery mouth feel. Taste is mostly grass, but somewhat lacking.
