COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hop lover’s delight! In the India pale ale tradition, this brew is very hoppy in both aroma and flavor from the generous amounts of Cascade hops used in brewing. Look for a medium to full body and golden straw color.

Not very hoppy, fair malt profile. Decent...................................

Slightly above average - but more astringent than hoppy. Better IPA's are out there.

Very bitter but not extraordinarly hoppy. OK body, hoppy aroma. Good IPA although not as good as Victory Hop Devil.

Didn't get a lot on the nose; slight floral scent; color a nice amber with Saranac's typical creamy, abover-average head. Flavor just ok; really not very hoppy for an IPA, and the finish is rather bland. Really more like an Amber ale. Most Saranacs seem on the sweetish side; this is a bit less so. Very average.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2006 Bottle: Hazy pale orange with a small white head, grass and orange citrus in the aroma, starts and ends bitter, thick mouthfeel for the style, mild carbonation. Slight sweetness at the ending.

jayme9874 (756) - Hamburg, New York, USA - NOV 2, 2001
Medium to dark straw color, pretty decent, creamy head. The beer had some hop character, notably cascades but not a generous enough amount. The beer really lacked a malt profile. An average IPA. One i would try again to detect any improvments.

VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 18, 2001
Decent brew but if you advertise Cascade hops they better be evident and these aren't. Not bad but not an IPA I would choose often.
