Pink tinted amber coloured beer. Thin white head. Sweet raspberry aroma, some light caramel malt, a touch of honey. Flavour is quite sweet and candyish. Enough malt to let you know it’s beer, but not enough to make it good. Flavour-wise come across like a sweet mead. A bit too sticky for me though.

12 OZ bottle: little aroma of grassy malt and very slight hop aroma. amber colored, medium bodied, flavor is sweet and malty, hops come through on the finish, but not a fan. mediocre at best

Poured a amber-hue with reddish tones, had a nice white head. Aroma was all sweet with fruit and honey. Intially it had some bitter fruit notes but the main flavor was that of candied fruit. Some hops. Good, but too candy like for me.

Appears a red toned amber with a fluffy, sticky white head. Streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Smell is of sweet berries and candy raspberries. Taste is of the same aromas with a mild malt trying to break through the sweet, and perhaps mildly tart raspberries and blackberries and just a touch of honey. Mouthfeel is light, sweet, and thin in the swallow. This one appeals to chicks and college crowds alike.

Labelled as Saranac Mountain Ale - label also indicates berries, so this must be the same beer. Initial aroma hints at grassy hops, just a touch floral. Also, a bit of cobwebby yeast, a touch of honey and blueberries, and some vegetal notes of cooked peas. Pours a clear amber with a quick foamy head, leaving just a thin layer of light foam. Lacking effervescence in the glass. Rounded and sweet up front, berry notes are very subdued. A little tart. Finish is thin and sweetish, lacking hops. A bit of a metallic or bitter aftertaste is detectable. Flat and lifeless palate. For the most part, not very pleasant.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper under a fizzy quickly fading small off-white head. Quite a bit of visible carbonation. Lightly fruity aroma with some honey and a little berries, especially blueberries. Some touches of caramel and pale malts as well. Flavor is mostly grainy malts up front with a sweet blueberry finish. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with fizzy forced carbonation. The finish is a little cloying. Overall, this tasted like an artifically sweetened fruit beer. Not offensive, but not too exciting either.

Part of the summer mix pack. Aroma was mainly honey and blueberries, but not overly sweet or offensive. Taste was similar, not bad. I was expecting this to be terrible and sweeter, but to my surprise, I rather enjoyed it. I don’t think I can drink more than one a night though. Not bad, a refreshing deviation from normal beer.

Brown bottle, 12 ounces; eye: burnt orange with yellowish reflections, pale beige head that disappears rapidly, no effervescence; nose: honey, small berries (blackberry), hops, caramelized malt, earthy; mouth: not that tasty, a bit of hops, blackberries, finale all in blackberries wrapped with a bit of caramel, lightly sweet and bitter, light body, rather thin, fizzy; overall: not really my style FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 12 onces; oeil : orange brûlée avec des reflets jaunâtres, mousse beige pâle qui disparaît rapidement, pas d’effervescence; nez : miel, petits fruits (mûres), houblon, malt caramélisé, terreuse; bouche : pas très goûteuse, un peu de houblon, mûres, finale tout en mûres accompagné d’un trait de caramel, légèrement sucrée et amère, corps léger, plutôt mince, pétillante; en résumé : ce n’est pas vraiment mon style de bière

In the summer mixed pack. This is an ok bottle for the pack second to the Belgian white in the pack. Has some mild berry flavors.
