COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saranac Octoberfest is a rich flavorful lager. We use imported two-row and crystal malt and balance it with the pleasant bitterness of Saaz and Tettang hops.

Poured a darker and clear amber color wih a small sized head. Lighter aromas and tastes of bread, maybe some yeast, and malts. I struggled to pin this one down. Thinner body. Lightly sweet.

follows in line with the others i’ve had from their line-up. non-offensive and fairly true to style, but also usually a little thin and boring. this one was no exception. a little generic on the malts, though it satisfied a craving. kinda."

shrubber85 (11452) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 29, 2006
Bottle. Slightly sweet malt aroma. Medium amber color with small head. Malt and strong hops flavor - little sweetness. A surprisingly strong brew for Matt’s - a very nice beer.

2.2
hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 6, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2003 Clear, deep amber lager. Small, frothy, off-white head. Hearty and malty nose with an alcoholic and beefy punch. Disappointing flavor. No real flavor to speak of. Slightly sweet. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
