UPDATED: FEB 22, 2003 This was a pretty refreshing pale..nice hops and malt balance..nothing offending about this one..(see how weak my ratings are when I don't take notes..) jpknight22 (171) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 12, 2002
Decent in terms of a pale ale, but one of th ehighlights of Saranac's trail mix sampler pack. Crisp beer that drinks pretty well. HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 4, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2003 Nose similar to saranac single malt beer. Pasteurized with a bitter finish. Racegoer (355) - Indiana, Indiana, USA - OCT 16, 2002
decent pale ale, nothing special here, not much more to say, standard fare at best. Hopistotle420 (1178) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 10, 2002
Copper amber hue. Small whitish head dissipates rather quickly. Grain and floral nose. Hops are definately dominating this brew. A little more maltiness and it would be very nice. Lack of balance loses points. These guys are a bunch of awesome people, but their brews seem to fall short more times than not.

I enjoyed this Pale Ale more than usual, probably because it wasn't too hoppy and had a full mouthfeel with a complex range of flavors. Balanced fruity and spicy tastes make this a solid beer all around. Rock8899 (3) - Ohio, USA - OCT 5, 2002 does not count

A bit spicy for my liking, but it was not a bad pale ale at all. ........... morty99 (371) - Maryland, USA - SEP 10, 2002

amber color, slight head but with some lacing. excellent balance between the malt and hops in this one.
