COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light colored wheat ale might have a hazy appearance, but one thing’s crystal clear: it practically sparkles with bright, citrusy flavor. Enjoy!

Hazy orange gold pour. Awesome aroma of apricot, mango, and general fruitiness. Flavor is quite sweet, of apricot and wheat.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Sweet lemongrass, coriander, and citrus zest, with mild bitterness and a wheaty base. Pretty good.

Type: 12-oz. beer Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass From: Trader Joe’s in La Mesa (San Diego), Calif. Price: $10.99 for a variety 12-pack (12 Beers a Springing) Purchased: April 22, 2015 Consumed: April 23, 2015 Misc.: Best by June 30, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. Poured a golden, straw, hazy color with two fingers of white, frothy head. Lots of slow-moving bubble streams coming up from the bottom. Minimal wet lacing. Bad retention. (Sight - 3.63) Smelled a pleasant whiff of pineapple, coconut, mango, passion fruit and other tropical notes. Also got some light Citra, floral, fruit punch and cherry. Really digging this nose. (Smell - 4.25) Tasted really close to the nose, but a little sweeter. Didn’t taste as good as I thought it would though. Tropical dominating again, getting coconut, pineapple, passion fruit, fruit punch and mango. Also floral, Citra and black cherry soda. (Taste - 3.88) Light-to-medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Long, tropical finish. (Feel - 3.88) I really liked this tropical style beer. Glad to be able to have two more after this one. (Overall - 3.88) 3.94 88 B+

Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is very sweet candy like citrus. Lots of sweet citrus, almost sugary tasting like a mellow yellow. I taste a little coconut like something to. Pretty sweet with a light body. Easy to drink and refreshing. Different but not bad.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2015 Pour is the hazy unfiltered yellow characteristic of witbiers. Smell is very tangy like an orange, a tangerine, a peach, or an apricot. Taste is also kind of fruity with a little wheat and other beer elements, and a lot of water. Nothing offensive here, but for the love of God please please stop watering down your beer, Saranac. I said this about the other beer in the mix pack, and I’ve said it about a lot of Saranac beers over the years- not a bad taste, but you can barely taste it because there’s about 20% too much water relative to the other beer elements that imbue flavor.

Very nice aroma of citrus and almost passion fruit hops. Palate is light with a bitter almost soapy finish. Still descent beer but aroma suggests it will be way better than it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
