COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This light colored wheat ale might have a hazy appearance, but one thing’s crystal clear: it practically sparkles with bright, citrusy flavor. Enjoy!

12oz bottle. Small white head atop murky apple cider body. Aroma is medium sweet, coriander, light lemon, orange peel, medicinal. Taste is medium sweet, lemon, some coriander, seltzer. Undercarbonated light-medium body, light stickiness.

Drake (13738) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 17, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Pours a very hazy orange color with a thin frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of heavy spices, citrus and floral hops, pine, as in almost spruce tips, pale wheat. The taste is wheat, spice, citrus hops, candied fruits, mild stone fruits. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, decent balance. I’m sure I’m going to rate this way above the average, but this is hitting the spot for me.

DocLock (10689) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a great, bright, turbid golden canary color with a frothy finger of off-white head that laces copiously all over your mother’s face. Nose is limey citrus, white peppery and coriandery spice, honeydew, malt. The smell is great. Tastes fruity, with orange marmalade, honeydew, mild spice, and a dense and complex finish. This is indubitably one of the best beers Matt has ever brewed, and I would drink this with a fox, I would drink it in a box, I would drink it on a hill, I would drink it while banging a woman who is on the pill. I would, I would Sam I am!

cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Cloudy yellow orange appearance with a spidery, off white head. Aroma smells a lot like candy necklaces / bubblegum / smartees. Creamy mouth feel. Some bitterness but not bad. Flavor is sweet and candy like. A lot of pineapple and passion fruit. Strange cookie but not unenjoyable.

blipp (9278) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 8, 2015
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Sweet lemongrass, coriander, and citrus zest, with mild bitterness and a wheaty base. Pretty good.

PorterPounder (7970) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 6, 2014
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - Abercorn St - 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy medium golden, little to no head. Aroma has some coriander accents, a touch of yeast. Flavor has some nice lemony accents, a touch of coriander, some light bubble gum. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it. Dependable, as most Saranacs are.

3.3
FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2014
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky pale yellow color with a large fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tart and tangy citrus, cactus, pine and a bit of pineapple. The flavor was dry, tart and sour lemon, cactus and an underlying astringency. Long dry, tart and sour lemon finish. Medium body. Decent.

wlajwl (6812) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JAN 27, 2015
Aroma is wheat, citrus and a hint of hops. The flavor is citrus, wheat, coriander, a hint of hops and a tropical fruit/slightly bitter/sweet finish. Doesn’t completely seem like a wit, a little bit of IPA to it.

2.9
kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Bottle. Pours a hazy and cloudy yellow body with a small frothy white head. The nose is an all out assault of coriander with a little orange peel and yeastiness. The flavor is much the same, loads of soapy tasting coriander and not a whole lot else. Light bodied and soft with gentle carbonation. Not the best Wit, they overdid it with the coriander.

3.3
ben4321 (6506) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 13, 2014
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 4/13/14

Aroma: The nose is sweet orange juice and a wheat malt base, some melon, with yeasty notes
Appearance: It pours a hazed orange-gold color with a frothy white head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-plus sweet, lots of orange/citrus flavor, and a fairly unnoticeable bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has an average-plus carbonation, and a tingly, spicy finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one was pretty solid. The orange flavor dominates, and it is a little too sweet, but it is a solid beer. It balances more flavor-wise, from the spice and mild bitterness. Not too shabby...
