Aromas of toast, caramel, and citrus fruit. Clear ruby-bronze with a fully lasting, rocky, beige head. Off-dry, bitter, toasty, and somewhat grapey. Medium bodied, subtly spicy, carbonation is decent, and finishes with earthy bitterness and a touch of caramel sweetness. Braudog (6710) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle. Standard-looking, "over-the-counter" red ale ... dark, reddish amber, thin but sticky head. Strong caramel character, unoffending in any way ... richly malted. Better flavored example of a macro lager. (#5021, 5/12/2013) MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2013
12 oz gift bottle from my neighbor Michelle - thanks! Surprisngly good for a low end sampler case item. Plenty of hops and a nice fresh taste. Not bad at all. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - MAY 9, 2013

Appearance: Pours a red cloud.
Aroma: Aroma of caramel, light pine.
Taste: Light-medium bitterness, lots of caramel malt.
Summary: Red IPAs are a particular favorite style of mine. This beer is a solid example, but not something I’m going to go out of my way to have.

Bottle. Nose is quite hoppy, pungent and light woody, lightly earthy, with some caramel. I don’t know much about Calypso or Palisade hops, but I like how they’re used here. Deep red body with orange highlights and a clingy off-tan head. Taste is strongly bitter, lightly rubbery, a good helping of citrus, very dry with a hint of sweetness from the oily hops. Caramel pushed away in favor of an earthen tone. Aggressive light-medium body. Like the pungency on the tongue as well, but there’s a bit too much lost in the malt department. thechandler (593) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - APR 30, 2013
Pours a copper red amber color. Aroma is malty with a tingle of hoppy bitterness. Flavor is pretty standard IPA. A little bit more malty sweetness. Feels a little thin but otherwise, pretty solid. MacBoost (1894) - Victor, New York, USA - APR 28, 2013
Why is this beer getting shit on so hard?paulvanpelt (627) - Reusel, NETHERLANDS - APR 26, 2013
This beer is actually pretty decent. Or at least the smell says it is. Pours a deep amber with a off white head that quickly fades into a ring. The aroma is where this beer really shines... Really nice pine aroma, some slight cat piss and a whole bucket of caramel. Pretty inviting. First sip reveals that old saranac house hop profile, just dialed up a few notches. Pretty decent, actually. Finishes long and bitter. Nice.
Mooi koperkleurig met kleine lichtbeige schuimkraag. Aroma van hop, kersen, caramel. Smaak is medium bitter, medium zoet. Lekker, maar veel te waterig en te weinig body. Stampion (274) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 25, 2013
Eh, decent balance of hops and malt. Earthy without being grassy or tea like. The bitterness sticks with you to long at the end.
