12oz bottle. Pours a light clear amber with an off white head. Soda like carbonation. Very slight malty aroma. Very little flavor whatsoever other than slight metallic notes. Very thin overall taste and palate. I think I am done with Saranac after this. sloth (2896) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - APR 20, 2013
More saranac hooha. No need to extrapolate, Its saranac.Weird funky sweet malts and fuckedupedness. Nuff said. Bad beer, veddddy veddddy bad beer. tacmedic32 (8) - New York, USA - APR 16, 2013 does not count
This beer pours a deep copper with red hugh. The head is thick and foamy and lingers. The nose is hoppy and caramel but not huge. It starts smooth and slowly finishes with slight hop finish. It is lighter than I expected but the finish lingers a bit.

12oz bottle, shared by DanielCoor. Mostly clear red / orange color. Good thin off-white head. Solid spread of lace. Decent-looking, but the nose is less-promising. Light caramel malt, some odd vegetable aroma. Medium body. Light, softer, kind of smooth carbonation. More bitter taste. Spicy fruity hop aroma in the aftertaste. Light caramel malt, little toasty malt. More dry in the finish. Alright red ale / IPA hybrid. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a bit of a red tinge to it and a moderate off-white head. Nose has some good hoppy and pine notes to it with a subtle malt undertone. Taste is a little bit bitter, but fairly well balanced. OK.

Pours slightly hazy red with off white head. Little bit of malty aroma, not much there though. Caramel malt backbone. A different hop flavor that I’m not used to. Not particularly bitter, a little grassy. Overall not a whole lot jumps out and me. I wouldn’t even call this an IPA, but it is not a bad beer. Just not finding much to love here. Faint hop and musty malt aroma, really not an IPA sort of scent. Deep orange color, it really is almost red. Taste is bitter, but not as much as Matt’s new Dry Hop Lager, which I had earlier. More sweet malt than most standard strength IPA’s. What might be termed a copper ale by some brewers. mensch (289) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Guess you can’t call it an IRA? Faint woody and minty aromas doing battle with a somewhat lager-like mineral note. There are some tasty hop flavors in there, if you can get past the vegetal and mineral off-flavors. Very lagerlike, an IRL? Really nice color. UPDATED: MAY 17, 2013 Lacks complexity but not terrible. Aroma is slightly musty with a faint hop note. Also getting a little dirty sock smell? Pours a nice amber that’s a bit reddish. Taste is somewhat malty, bitter, and mineral. Finishes bitter and fairly dry. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2013
This one poured a lighter red color with a beige head. Aroma was of caramel, light yeast, and light citrus hops. Flavor was bland hops overpowered by caramel sweetness. Not good, but ok for saranac.
