12 oz bottle. Pours red/amber with a 1/2" white head. Aroma was ripe with caramel and fruit. Lightly sweet flavor, backed with some fruity hops. Moderate bodied palate with a light bitter aftertaste. Smooth and easy drinking. HeinzH (26) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAR 16, 2013
Nice dark red/brown beer with a decent sized head. Taste is okay. Need a bit more of hops. Really good quality-price ratio. This cost 1,69 dollars at Good Bear in East Village, NYC. Art (3219) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2013
Fruity and hoppy aroma. Red copper pour. Effervescent feel. Smells better than it tastes.

Clear copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy, khaki head. Aroma of caramel, husky grain, cereal, woody malt, grassy, citrus, and fruity hops and hints of toffee, mineral notes and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet caramel, and husky grain up front, sorghum, licorice, earthy leaves, fruiy, citrus and planty hops, a little grass, woody malt a little toffee and root beer and planty hops to the finish. Light to medium in body with a dry, but slightly oily and stick entry, nicely blanketing, light, but sharp carbonation and dry finish. Not bad overall, seems like a hoppy Irish Ale, which is something I kinda wish were more common. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Nice beer but not what I would call an IPA. Pours a beautiful amber with red highlights. The aroma has a bit of floral hops, some grass and caramel. The flavor is where the hops are. Nicely bitter with a peppery feel. A bit thin in the end.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear caramel/red color with a medium white head. A sweet nose of toast and caramel. The flavor doesn’t have IPA flavors but does have some citrus and pine, toast, mellow caramel malts. OK. arventresca (567) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Bottle. Really having a tough time smelling anything. Taste is a red ale. Not getting any IPA here. ben4321 (6680) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2013

Aroma: The nose is caramel malts, toast, and a bit of citrus/pine hops
Appearance: It pours a clear mahogany color with a small, frothy beige head
Flavor: The taste is malts balanced by some hop bitterness, better then expected from the nose
Palate: It has a medium (leaning light) body, fizzy carbonation, and a tingly, dryish finish
It’s basically a hoppy amber, which is fine with me, but I don’t see too much of a point calling this a Red IPA. Anyway, this was actually better then I thought it would be, so it has that going for it.
Nice head, decent aroma of hops, but is mulled a little by the malts. Has a good flavor but could use a little more refinement. Pretty much everything about this beer is decent but nothing really outstanding about it. Kind of an ugly color, less red and more rusty dull brown. Way less biter/hoppy than most other IPAs, think a lot of this is because the stronger flavor malts cover up the hops a bit, or that they used less hops so you could taste the malts, idk but the balance between the two is not spot on. Can’t hold a candle to the White IPA, but still good and worth a try. People who don’t like IPAs might actually like this beer, gateway drug to more hops. collinmb (66) - - FEB 24, 2013
I really enjoy this brew. Its very malty with caramel tones off setted with a hoppy bite. A gorgeous dark dark red color, white fluffy head.
