12oz bottle, ruby color, big fluffy off-white head. very piney hop aroma, hops, citrus taste, little bit of caramel, little bite in the finish Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Clear brown pour with good offwhite head. Nose is floral citus hop. Flavor is burnt caramel, and resinous hop pine. Lingering sweet hop bitterness, but not too unpleasant. Honestly, I didn’t really care for it, but its not that bad. scarletfire65 (1472) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2013
Bottle from Winter Variety Pack. Reddish orange pour, almost no head. Aroma of caramel, pine, faint citrus. Flavor of caramel, old hops, husky grains, lagerish finish, astringent into the far finish, citrus pith. Below average. Jabic (608) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - FEB 6, 2013
Ar: Roasted caramel, orange, grapefruit, and lime.
Ap: Crystal-clear dark amber - small off-white head with poor retention, just a thin haze of foam remaining.
T: Toasted malt and slightly burnt caramel - medium bitterness, has a bit of a tannic quality - some hints of orange and grapefruit - finish is bitterness and caramel.
P: Medium body, medium-high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: Middle-of-the-road amber ale (really not an IPA). Suttree (6415) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Looks red, so it’s got that going for it. Smells piney with a bit of caramel. Taste is caramel and toasty malt and some pine hops.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is medium amber with reddish hues and a small head. The aroma tends to highlight the grains and hops. The body was medium. The taste also had a graininess but there was a low to moderate hop finish. Not too bad. BREWMUSKCLES (2696) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 1, 2013
brown brew with a banded and foamy head of off white and light brown. mouthfeel of a Scotch ale with a bit of malt and scratchy burnt peat. Some nice hoppy flavor of white and red grape a bit of ivy and a fresh pine finish. stages well through the senses like a good ale should. jefcon (1878) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Has the weight and flavor of wet cardboard. Soppy hops, pine and generic malts. Kind of a hot, red, rye finish. Not my favorite. j12601 (12601) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear ruby garnet with a fairly large beige white head. Dusty papery hops and a bit of toast on the nose. Medium bodied, sweet toasty malt with a bit of a hoppy background. Light bitterness, easy drinking, but not a lot of complexity. A bit of that papery note from the nose comes back into the finish. SoberDave (182) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Pours a nice orange-amber colour. Smells of hops, citrus and a touch of caramel. These are brought out in the flavour, adding on a bit of spice. Nice bite and fizz on the tongue.
